Considering the context of foreign language learning and taking the context in which
the present study is conducted into account, the significance of this study lies in the fact that it
informs the professors as well as schedule designers of English reading course of such
campuses of the way intensive courses work in such circumstances. This would give rise to
proper scheduling-either intensive or non intensive-which would benefit the students, the
professors, and the entire system to employ strategies which can have considerable
contribution in maximizing the improvement of the students’ English reading comprehension
skill
