Its very good to hear that your learning a great deal with your planning and administrative work.
Gaining more knowledge and success often comes together, but sometimes its just the experience that is useful and can be leveraged (in the future) for more interesting activities--and sometime more remuneration.
I guess having a track record (where people are still observing good performance) matters a bit too.
