As can be seen from Table 1, there is a positive and statistically significant correlation. This means that those guests whose perceived physical appearance was rated as better or more attrac- tive received better service from the receptionists than those guests whose physical appearance was not rated as highly. In other words, a more attractive hotel guest has a chance to be better served. It should be noted that in this research we are not studying the phys- ical appearance of people. Nor is it a study of the quality of services. It is a study of how these two phenomena interact, independently of whether people are aware of their reactions and whether they can or cannot manage them.
