Table 15.1 refers to six control areas in the organization. There can be more, depending on the nature of the enterprise. All of these are important, some more so then others. There is considerable support for closer attention to Human Resources Management than any other. The key to success is the manager and the people she or he is able to marshal to the venture. Historically, however, enterprise have relied on financial controls as a major instrument. Today it is still apparently important since the direct outcome is measured in terms of money.
