3.1.3.1 Operational Mode >> Reversion Mode
1 Perform task “PMA01: Stop and secure Antenna System” (p. 37).
2 Collect, from the master key holder, the key for the padlock securing the
cover over the brake release switch (placed on the SAP Management Unit)
3 Collect the components of the jack-
ing kit, as shown in fig. 3.7, for use at the SAP.
4 Before going aloft put on an
approved safety harness and when
aloft immediately attach to the har-
ness anchor point. While aloft, keep
the safety harness attached to the
anchor point
5 Perform a visual inspection of the SAP to make sure there is no major dam-
age that would prevent the righting procedure from being carried out. Make sure the SAP is not jammed in either the pitch or roll axis, and make sure that none of the cables are damaged in any way.
7 Fit the upper jacking bracket, as
shown below, using the associated
four M12 bolts and washers. See fig.
3.8, where the roll frame is angled towards starboard.
8 If the roll frame is angled towards
port, fit the lower jacking bracket of
the type shown in fig. 3.9, using the
associated four M12 size nuts, bolts and washers.
9 Then insert the roll turnbuckle - the
shorter of the two turnbuckles - as
also shown in fig. 3.9. If, however,
the roll frame is angled towards star-
board, fit the other type of lower jack-
ing bracket (see fig. 3.8), using the
associated four M12 size nuts, bolts
and washers. Then insert the roll
turnbuckle as also shown in fig. 3.8.
If it is not possible to align the roll totally, move the turn buckle to the oppo-
site side of the SAP. It is only possible when roll is "almost" aligned.
