These iron oxide@LDH systems usually
adopt core–shell structures and have been demonstrated to be feasible
for catalytic [21–24] applications. However, the applications are
practically almost limited to alcohol oxidation [22–24] and epoxidation
[23] reactions and to the best of our knowledge has not yet
been applied to carbon coupling reactions. Here we introduce a new
system by incorporating Pd2(dba)3 to a Mg–Al–LDH shell supported
on magnetite (Fe3O4) core to afford a magnetic catalyst active in the
Heck–Mizoroki and Suzuki–Miyaura reactions, as shown on several
representative examples.
