Conclusion In this study, we utilized Darner (2007)’s study, however, we studied with pre-service science teachers and conducted our research with a single group by using SDT guided environmental activities. We found that SDT guided environmental activities can develop PST’s intrinsic motivation and decrease their negative capacity beliefs. We could not find significant results in terms of other sub-scales of MTES and AMTES. The reason of this may be due to small sample size and short term research. Therefore, there is a need to study with larger sample and make long-running research.
