Good Labor Practice (GLP) Guarantee Letter
To Whom It May Concern
With good faith in the dignity and rights of individuals,………………..(Company Name)…………strive to provide safe and fair treatment to all employees/workers. The provision of below practices for labor are minimum standard and commit to all management to take leadership responsibility to ensure that these are thoroughly communicated to and acknowledged by each key individual(both internally and externally) as well as respective parties/organizations concerning labor practices.
A. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: The organization must comply with all applicable national, state or regional, and local laws & regulations.
B. HUMAN RIGHTS: The organization must not violate basic human rights, as defined in the United Nations Declaration of Human Right (UNDHR), the Core Conventions of the International Labor Organization (ILO), and the ILO Declaration of Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work.
C. CHILD LABOR: The organization will not use child labor as defined by local law.
D. FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION/ COLLECTIVE BARGAINING: The organization will provide the employees with the right to freely associate and organize and to bargain collectively in accordance with applicable local laws and ILO Core Conventions (Nos. 87 and 98).
E. FORCED LABOR: The organization will not use forced, bonded, indentured or compulsory labor, nor will use physical or mental coercion or corporal punishment.
F. PHYSICAL COERCION: The organization will not physically abuse workers.
G. WAGES & BENEFITS: The organization will only do business with Suppliers who comply with all minimum wage and overtime legal requirements (for example, maximum work weeks will not exceed requirements set by country laws).
H. DISCRIMINATION, WORKING HOURS & OVERTIME: The organization will not physically abuse labor, and working conditions will apply with local law.
I. HEALTH & SAFETY: Working conditions will comply with local regulations.
J. ENVIRONMENT: The organization will comply with all applicable environmental laws.
K. DEMONSTRATION OF COMPLIANCE & DOCUMENTATION: The organization will provide any facility access and documentation necessary to verify compliance with all applicable local regulations.
