Stewart is Professor of the Centre for Management and Organization Studies, a Key Research Centre of the University. He is also Visiting Professor at Maastricht University, Copenhagen Business School and EM Lyon, as well as being an International Fellow of the Centre of Comparative Social Studies of the Vriej Universititeit of Amsterdam.
