A modified agar diffusion method (C

A modified agar diffusion method (Caceres et al. 1993a) was
used. Plate count agar (PCA, Biolab) was prepared in the
same way as PDA used in the antifungal screening tests
except that the plant extracts were not suspended in the
agar. Mother cultures of all plant pathogenic bacteria were
sustained on PCA (Caceres et al. 1991, Rasoanaivo and
Ratsimamanga 1993).
