The service provider must then promptly forward a copy of such a counter-notice to the copyright owner and indicate that it will re-post the material within 10 business days. Whether in the context of these procedures or not, the copyright owner always has the option of filing suit to obtain a court order to restrain the subscriber from infringing. Unless first notified of such suit, the service provider must restore access to the material within 14 business days after it receives a counter-notification.
