The weekly e-mails were read every week or most weeks by more than two thirds of participants (67%). When asked about the usefulness of information in the e-mails to help the participant to be more physically active, the opinion of participants was divided, with 30% finding it was little or not useful and 35.7% finding it useful or very useful. A similar response was found when asked about the usefulness of information to help the participants to make healthier food choices. A third of participants (33.6%) found it little or not useful and 35.5% found it useful or very useful.
The weekly organised walks were not successful. The majority of participants (93.1%) did not attend any of the guided walks over the 12 weeks of the challenge
