Re: “Cops launch crackdown on visa runners” (BP, May 13).
I agree with this idea, which is the Thai immigration office closing a loophole.
Visa run packages are routinely sold by agents in big cities. The fees they charge are not cheap compared with the number of days you can stay, and many applicants have experienced a fear for their lives while travelling over the border on vans or minibuses provided by agents, as most drivers are reckless and tend to speed because they have to complete the job in a day.
