Archives comprises of archival data for posterity, such as historically important
annual Reports; the Gandhi memorial lectures and newspaper clippings on Sir C
V Raman and RRI. Gandhi memorial lecture is an annual event held on 2
October, the Gandhi Jayanthi. It is a popular lecture series and eminent people
from different walks of life are invited to share their thoughts. The Audio/Visual
format of this lecture series is a part of this institutional repository. All the news
items covered in newspapers on Sir C V Raman and RRI are uploaded in the
archives. All these are of historical importance and need to be preserved in
digital format and also at the same time showcased to get global visibility.
. C. V. Raman and his work include the scientific papers published by him; text
formats of lectures delivered by him; biographical sketches on him and published
articles on him and his work by others.
. Science at the Raman Institute: 1948-1970 includes all the published articles
authored by Raman’s students who had the good fortune of having worked
under his guidance.
. Community 04 – 07 comprises of research articles and theses published by the
different research groups at RRI namely, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Light
and Matter Physics, Soft Condensed Matter and Theoretical Physics. The
ongoing research is represented through this community
