WFNS was a median of 2 (range 1–4) in the 37 included patients when arrived at the NIW. The median age was 58 (35–74) years. All the patients had their aneurysm secured within 34h after arrival to our hospital (median five hours). Approximately 11% of the patients required the insertion of a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt during the primary stay (27% received a shunt at any given point of time after aSAH).The characteristics of the good- and poor- grade patients according to the WFNS scores are presented in Table 2. There was a higher fraction of females in the poor grade patients, alongside with higher age and a shorter time to securing the aneurysm, however, none of these differences reached the statistical significance.
