From Austria
Hi everybody!
I’ve had a really busy week. I have not stopped for a single moment. We are at a point in the World Championship when we have a little “rest”, and we can make the most of this time by doing some other activities.
For example, last week I was lucky enough to receive the Gaudí Gresol award and spend a lovely evening with friends like Manel Fuentes and Jordi Cruz. On Sunday, I received the “els ous de plata” award in both my and my brother’s name in Sant Guim de Freixenet. What an honour!
I have also had the chance to spend some time with my friends, and that is priceless! It is a great time to see them because it is often difficult to meet up during the season, and this is something that I really value.
By the way, I am writing to you from Austria. I arrived just yesterday! Today we have a day at the Red Bull Ring for doing some shooting and to check the circuit that is new. I came here for the first time last year during a promotional event and this year, as they have changed the asphalt, we are going to give a Honda street bike a try.
We are used to riding MotoGP prototypes, so riding a street bike will be a different experience. It will be interesting to do the reconnaissance with it. Here is a picture that we took in Montmeló in which you can see the Honda street bike.
After Montmeló and with the changes to the schedule, instead of concentrating on recovery work and thinking of the next GP, we are in a period where the best thing we can do is train regularly and maintain physical fitness. Once I am back from Austria, I will start training full time.
Question of the week (from maariiaavg22_)
What do you feel like when you’re flying after all the planes you have been on?
Flying is one of the things that I least like about my daily routine. It’s not that I don’t like flying, but I hate wasting time waiting at the airport, travelling, etc. That is the worst of all. There are boring moments. But, of course, the sensation of flying is really fun.
Best wishes,
Marc
