The present study showed that age more
than sixty year-old, delayed in presentation, presence
of anorexia, three physical signs (fever, generalized
tenderness, guarding), complete blood count and
urinalysis findings (bandemia, pyuria, high urine
specific gravity) and delay in surgical intervention were
independently associated with increased rates of
complicated acute appendicitis
