Last August 26th I sent a letter to Dr. La-orsri to inform the dean of KKUIC that my last day at the college will be September 25th. Two years ago when Dr. Yupin was dean I declined a good university position in Bangkok, because of the students here, and the mission of KKUIC. The college environment has changed with new leadership, and so now I will follow an opportunity in a nearby country with sadness from leaving bright and enthusiastic students and helpful, friendly staff.
Many of you have been my students in several courses, and have demonstrated potential to succeed in academics and in life. Your faculty and former faculty can provide references and recommendations for you as you go further in academics or look for work as professionals. I have been particularly impressed with the creativity, teamwork, and determination students at KKUIC bring to the classroom. I believe many of you will become effective and honest leaders. Believe in youself, and follow Ajaarn Pete's advice to think about the things you do well.
