memorable journey
I have always been passionate about snow, mountains and adventure. What could be better than Manali and Rohtang for this?
This was my first school trip and it was held during the summer vacation in 2012. When we reached our rendezvous point, I hugged all my friends. People around us stared at us as if the circus or magic show was going on. After some time we boarded our train to Chandigarh. This was the best train journey I have ever experienced till now. All topics of the world were discussed except studies. Finally we reached Chandigarh and there we had some refreshments because we had to get ready for 12 hour long bus journey to Manikaran. On our way to Manikaran, at night time the lamps that were lit up in the houses seemed like stars have come to earth.
Manikaran is a place loaded with lots of huge green trees and rivers flowing through it. I was amazed to see a Gurudwara which consists of a river flowing with ice cold and bubbling hot water at the same time.
In the afternoon after our lunch we visited a shawl factory in Kulu.
The following day we visited Hadimba Devi temple followed by Manali club.
Next day we went to the most awaited place i.e. Rohtang Pass. I was very excited about snow, skiing and snow fight……since our country believes in non- violence but still I was very excited about snow fight.
Chandigarh was our next destination, such a breathtaking city it is, clean and lush green, wish every city could be like that.
We were amazed to see sculptures made up of tiles, glasses etc. made by Nek Chand and giving India a tourist spot in the form of Rock Garden. Later we visited Sukhna Lake followed by Rose Garden, a truly enchanting experience.
Like most of the writers I would like to finish like:
Last but not the least we boarded the train for Jaipur, and reached Jaipur by 7 in the morning.
“Bye buddy, see you in school” was heard all over the station. And this brought a close to the great trip of ours. We bid god...
