4. Conclusions
The electrochemically activated CSE was shown to be used as voltammetric sensor for detecting Ade and Gua at trace level. The high electrocatalytic and adsorptive activities of this sensor may be attributed to its large surface area as well as the functional groups that reside in activated carbositall. The above-presented SI-AdSVA method, using ACSE, provides the powerful tool for the quantitative evaluation of purine nucleobases in solutions because of the following advantages: minimal consumption of samples, high accuracy and reproducibility, higher degree of automation. The satisfactory results showed that the new method can be an alternative approach to automated routine pharmaceutical analysis in quality control and research laboratories.
