On behalf of Prof. Gismondo, Head of Clinical Microbiology, Virology and
Bioemergencies at L. Sacco University Hospital of Milan (Italy), it is a
pleasure to announce the upcoming “Laboratory Biosafety Training Course”
which will be held from 9th to 13th November 2015 at L. Sacco University
Hospital, in Milan under the auspices of the Italian National Institute
of Health (ISS - Istituto Superiore di Sanità).
The training course, organized by the Chair of Clinical Microbiology
(University of Milan) and by the Laboratory of Clinical Microbiology,
Virology and Bioemergencies of L. Sacco University Hospital, is a
five-day hands-on course. The programme will introduce biorisk and
biorisk management systems and will mainly focus on biosafety measures.
In addition, participants from all over the world will have the unique
opportunity to experience what they have learned in theoretical lessons
through tailored practical exercise in our facilities (BSL-2, BSL-3 and
BSL-4).
It is our pleasure to extend the invitation to join us in Milan to you,
your staff and colleagues, and to anyone in your organization that may

Finally, we are pleased to invite you to the 6th “Annual International
Symposium on Biosafety and Biosecurity: Future Trends and Solutions”,
which will be held in Milan from November 4th to 6th, 2015 .
