Although Asian hard clam is abundant along the coast of the
Andaman Sea, it has not been fully exploited, especially for human
food. To provide nutritional information and pave a way for better
utilisation of this species, the chemical compositions and nutritional
values are required. Therefore, this study aimed to characterise
the edible portions including foot, mantle and viscera of
Asian hard clam harvested from the coast of the Andaman Sea of
Thailand.
