Exposure of sorghum to supra-optimal temperature leads to
increased APX and CAT activities (Badiani et al., 1997). Previous
work has shown that the activities of APX and GR but not SOD and
CAT in rice seedling leaves are higher with than without HS (Hsu
and Kao, 2007b). Therefore, we aimed to understand the regulation
of APX and GR in leaves of rice seedlings during HS. We found APX
and GR activities higher with than without HS in rice seedlings.
Thus, H2O2 may be involved in the regulation of HS-increased APX
and GR activities in leaves of rice seedlings.
