3.2. System framework and physical database
There are a great many different sales channels in the market,
such as traditional direct selling, open-shelf drugstore, department
stores and others, and similar products provide different choices to
consumers using different channels. Therefore, business pursues
the concept of scientific management and advanced information
technology to create a full range of customer communication and
new sales methods. The direct selling entrepreneur will have an
advantage in the market through using a new sales technique with
low product price. With the development of diversification of technology,
the enterprise considers the customer knowledge management
on marketing and service, and then provides appropriate
channels for different customer needs. The system framework is
shown in Fig. 1.
The system framework diagram is shown in Fig. 2. It shows that
this study incorporates data regarding consumers, consumer
behavior and products into the database, and analyzes the entire
database of data mining for market segmentation to find different
types of target customers. The enterprise can evaluate the customer
knowledge management for marketing and services, and
can then determine efficiency means to achieve the goals with
maximum gain and minimum cost.
In this study, the design and operation of physical database are
used to construct a relational database through Microsoft Access
2003, enter data in a table. Although the general database software
can not accommodate too many people online simultaneously,
Microsoft SQL 2005 can satisfy this need, because the general database
systems use the standard structured query language (SQL).
Because each data storage and processing is different, in order to
give a programming language access to the information database
system, manufacturers design a driver for all types of language
using the standard SQL, and then access its database through the
regional network. Microsoft’s console provides an open database
link (open database connectivity; ODBC), so an administrator can
manage a variety of ODBC drivers (Fig. 3).
