1. We need to build a strong domestic economy and improve competitiveness, based on our potential resources and abilities, in order to gain the benefits of globalization and to minimize adverse impacts.
2. We have to open up the country gradually and at an appropriate pace. Liberalization of key sectors has to be carried out in steps and to be consistent with our state of readiness.
3. We need a proper supply-side management policy to help withstand the shocks and volatility arising from external factors, such as oil and commodities prices, exchange rates etc. With good risk management, we will be resilient and overcome these challenges.
