Trustworthiness.
Rigor in methodological research was described in terms of trustworthiness. To establishtrustworthiness, several aspects were addressed.
Credibility was met by completion of the evaluation questions at the conclusion of the 1-hour clinical simulation (i.e., prolonged engagement), verifi cation of transcripts of participant data typed into documents categorized under each research question, member checks by selected participants, and independent analysis of transcripts by researchers.
Triangulation of data by four modes exists the use of multiple or different sources, methods, investigators, and theories. The study had triangulation of three investigators as part of the research team.
