The lowest value for mesiodistal displacement was
20.05 mm, and it occurred with a 70-N force applied vertically in the central fossa. The highest finding for me- siodistal displacement was 6.89 mm when a 70-N force was applied vertically on the distal marginal ridge. Application of a 35-N force vertically in the central fossa produced the lowest amount of buccolingual displace- ment (0.05 mm), and the highest buccolingual displace- ment (28.30 mm) was produced by a force of 70 N when applied at an angle of 15 degrees on the distobuccal cusp tip. The lowest superior-inferior displacement (20.58 mm) occurred with a 35-N force applied at a 15-degree angulation in the central fossa. The highest displace- ment (214.39 mm) was produced by a 70-N force at
15 degrees to the vertical axis applied to the distobuccal
cusp tip (Table IV).
