Repeated- Measures Analysis of Variance was used to determine whether statistical differences were observed in anthropometric parameters (i.e., body weight, body height, BMI) over the course of the study. One-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) was used to determine whether the mean change in the anthropometric parameters and biochemistry indices differed among the three different intervention arms (i.e., placebo control, 3 g/day of Amizate, and 6 g/day of Amizate). The one-way ANOVA was followed by post hoc analysis (Fisher’s least significant difference test) to determine which of the intervention groups were statistically significant from each other.
