“Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction. ~Charles R. Magel” Through the investigation of animal testing there are many things that can rise up, feelings of anger against the system or conformation. It’s a passionate, controversial topic that is constantly discussed, but not deeply analyzed. Animal welfare for me is just as human rights every animal must be born free and humans shouldn’t be the ones to take this freedom away. The pain a person feels when they feel a needle is not comparable as the pain to a smaller organism as we do not know how animals suffer. Being the ones that can reason we should actively take part in conserving and taking care of every living creature in this planet, that’s the difference with animals we can take care of them. There are alternatives to prevent animal testing, and it depends on each person to decide whether to use the alternatives or continue with the harmful process. It seems easy, and it is we just have to do something about it, not wait until it happens on its own, in that way we can change the world.
