intercropping sugarcane with Indian mustard and oilseed rape recorded significantly reduced G. pensylvanicum density as compared to sole sugarcane in 2010–11 but not in 2011–12. Averaged over the cropping systems, pendimethalin gave significantly better control (>95%) of T. portulacastrum than alachlor (34–47%) (Table 1).
