4. Electric wires and connectors. Check for wear, damage, or insulation, bare wires, and loose or broken connectors. Tighten loose connectors, and make sure the wires are in good condition. If you find a bad wire or connector, repair or replace as required.
5. Fluid lines and fittings. Check for wear, damage, or leaks and make sure clamps and fittings are tight.
Wet spots indicate leaks. If a leak occurs at a loose fitting or connector, tighten it. If any part is broken or worn out, repair it immediately.
6. Damage. Damage is defined as any condition that affects safety or would render the vehicle unserviceable for mission requirements.
7. Inspection of tools, equipment and outfit. More frequent inspection of tools, equipment and outfit may be required depending on usage and unit standard operating procedure (fording, season maintenance, handover, etc). Refer to the List of vehicle outfit.
