The results of this study should be interpreted with caution
because of several methodological shortcomings. Only a consecutive
sample in a tertiary referral center was surveyed;
therefore, the findings are unlikely to be applicable to other
psychiatric settings in China. Some variables related to PR in
the literature, such as relationships between staff and patients,
were not measured. Furthermore, the sample size was relatively
small, which might have limited the power detecting
more significant determinants of PR.
