Corneometer measurements
The corneometry results at day 0
were consistent with the clinical XAS
scores showing there was no significant
difference in xerosis between the feet
at the beginning of the study (p=0.128).
The greater the degree of skin hydration,
the higher the corneometry value
recorded (Girard et al, 2000). The
mean corneometry values in Figure
3 show an increase in skin hydration
for feet treated with the test product
and for feet treated with the control
product between day 0 to day 14,
but no significant differences were
found between the products (Table 4).
