Regulations
Government involvement in business affairs can be positive, although it can depend on which side of the argument one supports. Pollution controls, for example, are becoming more and more an issue as consumers become more sensitive to ozone layer depletion, poisoning of the water table, acid rain and dozens of other burgeoning global hazards. Initially, restrictions in these areas are seen by some entrepreneurs as an added cost of production and too much governmental involvement. On the other hand, the sensitive business person appreciates the need to avoid polluting the environment.
