By the end of the summer they had found twelve carvings. In 2011, a laser scan found about 115 axe carvings and three or four daggers! The axes pictured seemed to be prehistoric, from around 1600 BC to 1400 BC. But the carvings of the daggers looked like Greek daggers. Could someone from ancient Greece have come 1,500 miles to Britain and carved them? Could these carvings have been graffiti done by the first tourists to Stonehenge?
