The same issue applies to all robots; they are limited to the commands or program they are intended to carry out. Give them a situation or condition outside of their programming, they no longer are of any use or can become dangerous to anyone around them. A robot driven car, might be able to drive you safely to one given point to the next, but if something like a tree falling, or something as unpredictable as a storm was to arise, it probably would not be able to properly calculate an action, eventually putting anyone trapped inside in peril. Personally, I don’t think I could every fully trust a machine, unless it’s only duty was to do my laundry and ensure my home was tidy, or any other task that a malfunction could do me no harm.
