For studying the biosurfactant activity, the selected isolates were inoculated in nutrient broth (peptone, 10.0 g/l; meat extract, 10.0g/l; sodium chloride, 05.0 g/l; distilled water, 1000 ml; pH 7.2 ± 0.2) containing mixtures of oils (petrol + kerosene + diesel) in 1:1:1 ratio and incubated overnight for 10 days at 30°C.
