The patients expressed relief that they recovered
rapidly and could return to performing their duties
fully, such as taking care of their children, studying
or working, without any nausea, worrying about
a gallstone attack or repeated disruptions in
their work. However, many patients lived with
residual symptoms, such as feeling bloated, wind
and belching, heartburn, loose stools, diarrhoea
