The study included 1115 Saudi male primary school children
with age ranged from 10 to 14 years ‘mean 11.91 ± 1.0’,
urban ⁄ rural ratio of 1.6:1, 37.5% were in the fifth grade and
62.5% in the sixth grade.
Decayed teeth were clinically evident in 68.9%. Dental
lesions were significantly higher among urban school children
[Odds ratio (OR) = 1.4, P = 0.001], and younger students
(6 persons per family)
(P = 0.001) (Table 1).
