Multispecies assemblages of large branchiopods are a frequent phenomenon (Petrov & Cvetkovic, 1997;Maeda-Martinez et al., 1997). This study revealed two co-occurring conchostracan species, Eocyzicus digueti and Leptestheria compleximanus, in Lake Cuitzeo. Maeda-Martinez et al. (1997) reported these species co-occurring in four different sites in Mexico, and one in the USA. In Jeruco, we found also the notostracan Triops sp. with the spinicaudatans.E. digueti
and L. compleximanus are new registers not only to Lake Cuitzeo but also to the state ofMichoacan. However,
both species have been previously reported from North and Central Mexico (Maeda-Martinez, 1991;Maeda-Martinez et al., 2002).
