The mid fans (medial
facies) are located between the apex and the lower part of the fan and
have a medium heterometric grain size (from 2 to 32 mm). The outer
fans (distal facies) are the farthest parts of the fanwith fine heterometric
grain size (b2mm)and coalescence of fans. Strikingly, the internal structure
of fourteen alluvial fans is exposed in outcrops that vary in thickness
from 1.15 m to 12 m, along the alluvial plain (Fig. 5). These alluvial fans
are truncated at their medial or distal parts, meaning that their foot
regions have been eroded by fluvial incision and are not present.
