PROCESSING DATA IN THE INFORMATION SYSTEMS OF THE
HALAL CERTIFICATION AGENCY
Most information systems is primarily aimed to provide
faster and more accurate processing of the data. However, this
information system needs to be based on the principle of a
closed system for early warning.
Information system would be based on the data about halal
products. This database is needed because the entire
production process needs to use raw materials that have halal
certification. According to this principle, even the bread that
was produced in a bakery may not have halal certificate unless
they prove the composition of additives. That is why there
should be a database of halal products and the information
gathered from the work orders that come in Information
System of the Agency for certification is compared and if
there is a deviation, that is, if any of the raw materials used in
the production process is not on the list of halal products it's
an alert that there was a violation of halal standards. A
deadline of three days can be left to the User to explain
changes in raw material, that is, to apply for certification of
the raw materials by the manufacturer if it is domestically
produced or by the importer in case of imported goods.
The point of this effort is to create what Porter calls a value
network. It is a network of companies that will, as one of the
key added values of their products, have a halal certificate.
The need for such cooperation is more than evident. A
manufacturer needs to produce its product with range of raw
materials and semi-finished goods that must be halal certified.
A customer needs to be confident in the products they buy.
The vendors can dedicate special shelves where they sell
products of such associations and even have a joined trade
mark or brand that would in itself guarantee the halal
certification.
