This is what the water cycle is all about.
“Where then does the cycle start? The truth is there is no starting point
because the water cycle is a continuous cycle.”
“For all intents and purposes, I will start with the oceans since that is
where most of the water on earth exists. Without the sun, the water cycle is
not possible. The sun’s radiation is a major catalyst and the driving force in the
heating of ocean water. The sun’s radiation heats and evaporates the water on
the surface of the oceans, and the vapor moves up into the air and forms clouds.
Air currents also transport the vapor into the atmosphere, along with water
that has been transpired from plants and evaporated from the soil. The wind
moves the clouds from one region to another.
