The two new techniques, the sensory benchmarking and the sensory benchmarking with visual aids, were compared to the Hungarian standard. The applied statistical method was random effects ANOVA, in the way as a standard Gauge R&R analysis used in quality engineering is performed [5]. In this analysis the change in measured data is split to those attributed to the difference between parts (here samples) and to the measurement uncertainties.
