Never underestimate a disabled person's intelligence. Their body maybe failing them but their mind is sharp. We have to give them the tools to which to communicate their needs. It's our responsibility otherwise we'd fail as decent human beings. Furthermore, to give the utmost respect & love for those who's minds aren't sharp. Give them a rewarding life (as we wish unto us) in their own capacity. What struck me is the father's sole purpose to complete these gruelling marathons & triathlons, is to give his son the wish to feel like he is running.... cycling.... swimming. He is giving him the tools to do so with his body. Such incredible physical, mental & emotional strength!
