It is well known that cellulase is composed of multi hydrolytic
enzymes which act synergistically in cellulose hydrolysis. Cellulase
consists of three types of the hydrolytic enzymes, namely exoglucanase
(cellobiohydrolase), endoglucanase and b-glucosidase
(Sindhu et al., 2016). In this study the enzymatic hydrolysis of
PKC was performed in the different combinations of the hydrolytic
enzymes to measure the concentration of monomeric sugars liberated
(Table 1). As shown in Table 1, the enzymatic treatment of
PKC using cellulase and b-glucosidase together with mannanase
enzyme resulted in the production of different concentrations of
monosaccharide sugars including glucose and mannose as the
main fermentable sugars with xylose to a small extent. As can be
