One of the main complaints from the students was that fashion models these days don’t look like ordinary people. Nearly all the female models are too thin and the male models are too good to be true. “Why can’t fashion companies pick models who are average weight or have short legs or a few wrinkles on their face?Then we could see how the clothes look on real people,’’ said art student Lizzie Ashworth. “Sometimes my friends and I fell as if there is something wrong with us because we don’t look like models. I know one or two kids who have started worrying that they’re too fat and they believe they don’t look nice in their clothes anymore. I think it’s terrible that models have this influence on teenagers,” she added.
