An interaction (P < 0.05;
Table 7) occurred between increasing dietary Co-P inclusion
and reducing CP concentration for days to
slaughter, carcass weight, backfat thickness, loin depth,
and estimated lean percentage. Reducing CP concentration
reduced (P < 0.05) days to slaughter and increased
(P < 0.05) carcass weight for high Co-P but not for low
and mid Co-P inclusion. Reducing CP concentration increased
(P < 0.05) backfat thickness and reduced (P <
0.05) loin depth and lean percentage for low Co-P but
not for mid and high Co-P inclusion. Increasing dietary
Co-P inclusion from low to mid and from low to high
reduced (P < 0.001) dressing percentage. Low CP concentration
(P < 0.001) increased dressing percentage.
