Forest is at the core of terrestrial ecosystems and covers approximately 31% of the global land surface .Forest cover and forest cover changes have widespread effects on the provision of ecosystem services, affect biodiversity, and provide important feedbacks to human welfare. In addition, forest cover changes influence the climate by alerting the energy, water and carbon cycles . As the pressure rises of human on climate change, monitoring forest cover from global to regional scales is becoming an important component of global change studies.
