Although there was recognition by some of the participants that the tools
were available to support collaborative work, they were unable to employ them.
In Team A, there was great intent around the potential for using Facebook to
collaboratively create their group project deliverable. One of the team members,
the students, had actually worked collaboratively using Facebook in a prior class
experience. The students, while not having worked with it before, saw the potential of
using social media technology to support a collaborative group experience. He
actually started to use it to create the major project deliverable.
